Neiman Marcus continues to move forward to reduce our carbon footprint.  As we look for ways to reduce or eliminate waste, it was clear that we have more opportunities.  The opportunity we have uncovered will not only reduce our waste but allow our vendors to recycle or eliminate unwanted hangers. Neiman Marcus currently sends over 2 million hangers to landfills each year, plastic causes serious damage to the environment both during its production and then through its disposal.  To aide in our efforts Neiman Marcus will supply its vendors with the Neiman Marcus approved hanger, approve the vendor as an “In Store Hanger” vendor, or require vendors to ship without any hanger(s).

New Requirement

All merchandise displayed hanging on the Neiman Marcus selling floor must be shipped to us on one of three ways:

Neiman Marcus Hanger Program – Vendors can obtain Neiman Marcus Hangers Free of charge by joining the Neiman Marcus Hanger Program.  The hanger must be inserted or attached to the garment.  Please click on the link for information about the program:  Neiman Marcus Hanger Program

In Store Hanger Program – Merchandise that is purchased for “In Store hanger” departments must be shipped on the vendor hanger to expedite processing.  Please click on the link for the approved “In Store Hanger Program” departments, In Store Hanger Listing PDF. This listing only includes those departments that are approved to ship on the vendor hanger.

Removal of Vendor Hanger – Vendors who do not participate in the “Neiman Marcus Hanger program” or NOT approved for “In Store Hanger Program” must REMOVE all hangers from merchandise before shipping.
